We’re working to ensure that all Brighton families have access to fresh produce regardless of their incomes. In addition to grocery stores, Brighton has several local farm stands, and many of our food pantries provide fresh produce to their clients. To get current information about food pantries and other Brighton food assistance resources, contact Hunger Free Colorado.
Farm stand days and hours of operation may change seasonally; we recommend you check their websites for the most current information about their hours, as well as their activities and product offerings. Visit the Discover Brighton Farms website https://discoverbrightonfarms.com/
for current information about events at local farms and links to their websites
Regardless of where you purchase fresh produce, you’ll usually get the best value by buying what’s in season locally. The Colorado Fruits and Vegetables Growers Association has excellent information about Colorado grown produce, listed by the months of harvest.
If you click on the produce name, it will bring up a fact sheet about the product, including nutrition information, and tips on storing and preparing it.
